 za'atar spiced dipping oil

This herbaceous, zesty dipping oil is on a regular rotation in my kitchen. It pairs perfectly with grilled veggies, eggs, flatbreads, even as a zesty herbal twist atop a strawberry.

PREP TIME: 5 MINUTES

COOK TIME: 1 MINUTE

SERVINGS: 1 CUP DIPPING OIL

INGREDIENTS

1/4 cup sesame seeds

1/4 cup dried thyme

1/4 cup herbs de Provence

2 tsp sumac

1 garlic clove, minced

1/2 tsp salt

2 tsp lemon zest

1 cup olive oil

DIRECTIONS

In a small or medium sized pan, add the sesame seeds and dry toast them over low heat - shaking often (about 5 minutes or until they start to brown) Do not burn.

Once toasted, pour into a bowl. Add all other ingredients and stir to combine.

Serve at room temperature.

Can be stored in a sealed container for up to 1 week in fridge.
